Plenty of authors take the reply and publish elsewhere or on their own. That is a completely normal outcome.
How we treat your manuscript
- It is shared only with the consultant assessing it, who is bound by confidentiality obligations.
- It is never shown to third parties, sold, or used to train any system.
- We claim no rights in it at any stage — not on submission, not ever.
- You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will, except where accounting law requires a record.
