Monthly Publishing Clinic: bring your manuscript question
An open session where authors bring a specific question about their manuscript and get an answer from an editor, live.
- 7:00pm EDT
- Elena Marsh
About this session
No slides, no pitch. Authors submit questions in advance or ask them live, and our editorial team answers them properly — including when the honest answer is "your manuscript is not ready yet".
Typical questions from recent sessions: how do I know if my second act is working, should I copyedit before or after a structural edit, what does a developmental report actually contain, and how long should I leave a draft before revising.
Sessions are capped so everyone who wants to ask something can. A recording goes to everyone registered.
What you will take away
- A direct answer to your own specific manuscript question
- The chance to hear other authors' problems, which are often yours
- A recording of the full session afterwards
